Greetings
I hope everyone's spring has gotten off to a good start.
Congratulations to Megan Jarmon for making the Choudrant
High dance team again. I know she has worked hard
for this accomplishment. Please remember McClain
and Blake Thomas as they continue their tennis season.
Their state tournament is right around the corner.
Congratulations also go out to Matthew Miliam and the
Cedar Creek power lifting team as the won 2nd place in
state a couple of weeks ago. Kate Warner and the
Ruston High Freshman softball team ended their year with
a bang as they took first place in a tournament in
Shreveport.
Preparations are being made for a senior night to
recognize our graduating seniors. Please continue
to pray for these guys.
Thanks
to everyone for all your love and support

All the t’s have been crossed, all the i’s
have been dotted and it is now time for D-NOW ‘08.
Please keep in prayer our young people, Brent Martwick
and his worship team, and especially the wonderful
people who have volunteered their homes for this
weekend. We thank everyone who has come forward and
volunteered or asked us if they could do anything to
help. It is team work like this that helps make
planning an activity like this one work.
Last weekend, our youth traveled as a group to Bossier
for “family fun night” at a Mudbugs hockey game. If
you’ve never seen one of these hockey games, it is well
worth the $15 to go. We had 13 to go and we brought
back 13 so they must have all acted okay. Thanks to Mr.
Gene for driving the bus.
Lisa and I need your help with another project. The
youth will be performing a drama called “The Champion”
on Sunday evening, March 16. We are needing some white
sheets to cover the choir chairs with so it will look
like the sky. If you can help out please let us know.
If you want your sheets back, please put an
identification mark on them somewhere so we can return
it to you.
Thanks again!
Adam & Lisa
Greetings,
What a great couple of weeks it
has been to be "young at heart" at Emmanuel Baptist
Church. Super Bowl Sunday's flag football game got
turned into a game of who could get the muddiest.
No one got physically hurt and that was a blessing.
We returned to the FLC after the game for a little dodge
ball and volleyball, while watching the Super Bowl on
TV. My thanks goes out to all those who came out
and played and those who came to the FLC afterwards.
Saturday Feb. 9 our youth hosted
a Senior Adult Valentine Banquet (Hee-Haw theme).
I was proud of the participation of our youth in this
program. I was truly shocked at how well they
pulled it together from 1:00 pm Saturday to the 6:30 pm
show time performance. Gifts and talents were
surely demonstrated on the stage. Even though I
was told not to pursue a singing career, I hope everyone
enjoyed it as much as we did. Thanks to all those
who prepared the delicious food.
Please continue to keep our
youth in your prayers. We will be traveling to
Bossier on Feb. 23 to a "Family Fun Night" at a Mudbug's
hockey game, followed by a Christian concert. Also
a reminder that our D-Now weekend will be February 29 -
March 2.
Thanks to everyone for all your
support.
